Symptoms

The lateral epicondyle of the elbow starts feeling tenderness and pain, which spreads down to forearm gradually. The pain might reach as far as middle and ring fingers. The pain gradually turns your forearm muscles sore and right.

The pain troubles you more when you bend your wrist backward, turn your palm upward, or hold something with a stiff wrist or straightened elbow. When you try to grip objects it causes severe pain. The stiffness of your elbow sometimes turn it very difficult for you even perform the simplest task such as opening the cap of a water bottle.

Diagnosis

The first and most important step for diagnosis of Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis) diagnosis is going through your detailed medical history. You are highly recommended to explain questions about your pain that how it affects you during regular activities. Explaining about your past injuries will help the experts to diagnose the problem in your tennis elbow.

Symptoms of tennis elbow are very much similar to a disorder called radial tunnel syndrome, which is caused due to pressure on radial nerve as it crosses the elbow. Hence if your pain doesn’t go via Tennis Elbow treatment then switching to the treatment for later is suggested.
